Whilst glass has been produced for over 4000 years, the origins of Art Glass are unclear. Venetian art glass was first recorded in the 9th Century and the small island of Murano still remains a significant name in the production of art glass.

In the United Kingdom there are several world leading contemporary glass artists producing unique decorative pieces. Polished Glass has developed excellent relationships with several of these leading artists over a number of years.  Many examples of their work can be seen in our gallery. Each item is unique bearing the characteristic hallmarks of the artist.
